Hi everyone and Happy Christmas.
I have be working on the Alert Fighter project quite allot recently and as such was have a new web site
http://alertfighter.mirthmedia.co.uk
I have uploaded a load of new screenshots, there isn't much else at the moment, I'm still trying to get a demo together for people to test and look at.
We are now using the excellent PixelPrachtFX system for special effects, and the collision detection between bullets and ships is working, so I can now shoot Cylons :D
But in the mean time here is a screen shot or two.

Very nice Dean! :)
I like the site design andthe screenshots. BTW, have you watched your BSG Season 1 DVDs to make sure the size scale is accurate? It seems like your Cylon Raider is a tad smaller than the show's version.

Hi WILL
thanks for the feedback :D
The raider model is a standin at the moment, the actual version will be scaled correctly, as will the galactica herself and any basestar's that I get to do. :)
I will need some help modelling the ships of the fleet though so if anyone out there wants to produce any low poly models of the fleet please PM me. This will be a freeware game so I can only promise credits i'm afraid.

Have you checked 3Dcafe for models? They have some free stuff.

Yes, I've been through the free stuff, I think I'd need something in the region of 50 ships of various types if I wamt to have the fleet. Allot of the models on 3dcafe are star trek and star wars :(
I'll keep looking though :)
I'm sure there *has to be one* site out there that makes them out of pure excitement of the series. There's a lot of sci-fi maniacs out there and BSG is probably one of the best one being produced right now.

I do have high poly versions of the Galactica, Viper MK II and Cylon Raider, the problem is that these models are very detailed, way to detailed for what I need in the game. I have access to milkshape and blender, Milkshape won't load them and I'm still trying to figure out how to reduce the poly count.
But believe it or not I haven't found many sites doing models for the new series of BSG..(season Two starts on Sky One 10th Jan I think :D). If you've managed to find any please let me know.
