View Full Version : physics books
im wondering if anyone can recommend a good book for improving my physics so i can use newton better :)
something that goes over formulas and methods etc
english and in uk is great :) (didnt really have much luck searching on amazon)
Go to Amazon and search for "physics game". There are many books out there related to physics in the game development field. O'Reilly's have a good one.
thanks. i found it but the reviews by the people led me to a different book.
(its so simple to find things when you know what to earch for ;) )
just to update people :)
ive been reading "physics for game programmers" by grant palmer.
so far ive read up to basic maths (cross product, dot product etc), basic newtonian mechanics and basic kinematics.
its really helped my understanding a lot more (and made me realise i had a bug in some code :D).
next up is the end of the kinematics chapter and projectiles (covers trajectory models, gravity, aerodynamic drag, laminar and turbulent flow, wind, spin etc)
so if anyone with not so exellent maths (even if you have good maths) is looking for a good physics book then i recommend this :)
Cool. I might have to add that to my collection. And for me it's a tax deduction. :)
